Kratom is a traditional herb originating from Indochina and Southeast Asia. It is also called Mytragyna speciosa. Stimulant and medicinal products are made from this tree, particularly in Indonesia. The main active ingredients are indole alkaloids, particularly mitragynine and 7-hydroxymitragynine. According to users from Indonesia, each color of kratom has its specific effects.
In Indonesia, farmers chewed kratom during heavy work on fields to endure physical work under direct sunlight. They also consumed crushed leaves to have an appetite for work and remain active throughout the day. Kratom was also used by local healers in Asian countries.
There are three basic colors of kratom. The color is determined by the veins of the leaves during harvest. The youngest leaves have white veins, and thus, it is called Kratom White. When the leaves are a little older, their veins turn green, and it is called Kratom Green. The oldest leaves have red vein color, hence the name Kratom Red. Other kratom variants are made by various modifications of these basic variants, and their names are not based on the color of the veins.

What do the different kratom labels mean?
Kratom with the designation MaengDa
MaengDa is created by mixing leaves with the same color of veins that come from several different trees. The leaves used for the production of MaengDa come from trees that are specially bred to achieve the highest strength of kratom. Thanks to this production process, MaengDa is classified as one of the highest quality kratom. That is why the popularity of MaengDa is very high among all collectors.

This is not a bred tree like in the case of MaengDa. Kratom labeled as Jungle is harvested from wild trees in the jungle. The Jungle variant is the most natural variant you can get. Jungle also does not undergo fermentation and is thus purely natural kratom.

For Premium kratom, leaves are harvested only from trees that have a certain height. Furthermore, each type of Premium differs from classic types by its specific processing method for even better results.

Green Kratom is a middle ground between red and white vein Kratom. Green Kratom leaves are usually harvested when the tree is mature, resulting in a darker shade of green. The leaves are first dried indoors, often in an air-conditioned room, and then moved outside to finish the drying process. Green Kratom is known in Indonesia for its pain-relieving effects. It acts as a stimulant and provides euphoria. Its effects can last all day without causing drowsiness.

Red Kratom is derived from the most mature leaves of the Kratom tree. This variety of Kratom has become very popular recently. According to users in Indonesia, Red Kratom has the strongest effects and is therefore one of the most sought-after varieties. It is often used as an antidepressant to reduce stress and anxiety and has sedative effects.

White kratom is obtained from young leaves of the tree when their veins are still white (similarly to white teas, which are harvested from younger tea leaves). After harvesting, the leaves are dried inside a special room and without light. In Indonesia, it is primarily used to boost mood, energy, and relief from pain and stress.

Kratom Yellow
Yellow kratom is not directly obtained from leaves that are yellow in color, but rather by fermenting red kratom and then drying it. Sometimes people confuse it with Gold kratom, but they are not the same variants. In Indonesia, the Yellow strain is known for its sedative effects, inducing a sense of euphoria, and reducing pain. It also helps users in Indonesia to overcome sleep problems.

Unlike the basic three types (Green, Red, White), Gold kratom does not occur as a vein color of Mitragyna Speciosa leaves. Gold kratom is created by mixing Red kratom with one or more other kratom varieties. Due to its special ratio, Gold kratom is one of the strongest mixed types of kratom. In Indonesia, it is known for its strong pain-relieving effects, mild stimulation, and stress-reducing effects with a sense of euphoria. Indonesian users also mention that its effects can last up to six hours.

Kratom Black is one of the newest additions to the kratom family. It is a red kratom that results from the fermentation and subsequent roasting process, resulting in a black powder similar to coffee. Thanks to roasting, it has a unique aroma that can resemble the smell of freshly ground coffee. It does not smell like other types of kratom. According to users in Indonesia, it has mild sedative effects.
